NCAA Tournament
The NCAA tournament started today and some teams left stadium happy while others left the stadium with their heads down. In the first three games Memphis pulled away from their opponent within the last 5 minutes to give them a 11 point win and avoiding one of the biggest upsets as Memphis moves on. In other games Texas A&M defeated BYU in a easy matchup by a final score of 79-66. In the other LSU escaped what turned out to be a great against Butler by a final score of 75-71. The number one seeds did their buisness by handling the other team. Connecticut started it off by defeating Chatanooga by 53 points of a final score of 103-47. And North Carolina defeated their opponent by a score of 101-56. Maryland defeated California 84-71 sending California home. Purdue defeated Northern Iowa in a nail biter 61-56. Washington made it look easy against Mississippi beating them by a score of 71-56. This tournament is probably going to be one of the biggest night in each basketball player career. Once you lose your done their is no double elimination. The passion is greatly during this time. This is what makes basketball exciting. This is what they play for before they get to the pros. But every basketball players dream is to cut that net and win the National Title.
World Baseball Classic
Well it's getting near the end of the WBC and some surprising teams and some disappointments have already been eliminated. To start the last and final four teams are Venezuela, United States, Japan, and Korea. Cuba, Mexico, Cuba, Puerto Rico, and the Netherlands. The Netherlands have been the cinderella team of the tournament so far even though they are eliminated. They were eliminated when they lost for the second time in their group to United States 9-3. I'm going to recap each score to give you a recap. To start it off is when Venezuela defeated the Netherlands 3-1. That put the Netherlands in the elimination game. and moved Venezuela ahead. Then later that day Puerto Rico defeated the United States in a game which ended early due to a 10 run mercy. The game ended in the 7th inning when 2nd baseman Aviles hit a two run single to end the game at a final score of 11-1. Yours truly John Garcia was in attendance. Then in the other group containing Korea, Japan, Cuba, and Mexico. Japan started off the group by beating the Cuban National team in a shutout 6-0. Sending Cuba to the elimination game. Also later that night Korea defeated Mexico 8-2 also sending Mexico to face off against Cuba in the elimination game. In the two elimination United States defeated Netherlands 9-3 and Cuba defeated Mexico 7-4. In the winners game Puerto Rico lost against Venezuela 2-0 in a defensive game. And Korea beat Japan 4-1. Now the two games now were Puerto Rico against the United States. And Japan against Cuba. Japan again shutout Cuba 5-0 eliminating Cuba. United States defeated Puerto Rico 6-5 eliminating Puerto Rico. After that in the pool championship Venezuela defeated United States 10-6. Making Venezuela Pool A champs. Japan and Korea square off tonight for Pool B Championship.

NFL Today
I know it may be a little early to already predict the standings for next year. But I already got my predicted teams as of right now. One of the teams that stand out at me is the Buffalo Bills. They made a big impact on signing Terrell Owens. Some think that was a weird mover for him to go to Buffalo because he said he wanted to win a Superbowl. If he wanted to win one why would he go to Buffalo who is a mediocre team. Maybe he wants to turn that team into championship contenders. I think it was all out of desperation. I say he thought maybe there would be no team out there for him so he signed the fastest deal that came for him. The New York Jets should improve on their defense getting a lot of key defensive players. Like Lito Sheppard at Cornerback and Bart Scott at Linebacker. New England will take the division with Tom Brady back at Quarterback. Kansas City will have an improved season by adding Matt Cassell and Bobby Engram. My superbowl prediction is the New England Patriots. They will face against the Carolina Panthers in a superbowl rematch.

2009 World Baseball Classic

It started yup, the World Baseball Classic. Where players from all over the world are going to represent their country and try to win the championship. On a quick update USA has been playing very well. So has Puerto Rico. They are both undefeated and have been winning in style. USA won their first pool game against Canada 6-5. Then won their second game against Venezuela 15-6. Their have been plenty of upsets. Like the cinderella team the Netherlands who defeated the heavily favored Dominican Republic. Dominican Republic were one of the top favors to win the World Baseball Classic with their power talented lineup. But were eliminated in the first round by losing to the same team twice, the Netherlands. Then the Netherlands who previously lost to Puerto Rico lost again to them in the championship by a score of 5-0. And now Puerto Rico were the Pool D champions and the Netherlands are the runner and since they have both earned these spots. They both will go to Miami to play in the second round. In Pool C Venezuela were crowned champions and USA is the runner up and those two teams will also be heading to Miami to face Puerto Rico and Netherlands. The first matchup will be USA against Puerto Rico. The other is Venezuela against the Netherlands. My picks is that USA will defeat Puerto Rico and Venezuela will defeat Netherlands. In Pool A Korea and Japan were the top 2. With Korea being crowned Pool A champions and Japan the runner up and these two teams will be heading to the second round in San Diego. Pool B is still being decided but Cuba is most likely going to be crowned Pool B champions.

March Madness Tournament
Its almost that time again. Get ready to get those jerseys and rep your team for the NCAA Basketball Mens tournament. My personal favorite is the University of Villanova. There are plenty of teams who practically already have bids in the tournament. Here are my four number one teams. Connecticut, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Pittsburgh. There are teams who are still fighting for the tournament spots. Notre Dame most likely lost their chance when they lost to Villanova by 17 points. Georgetown is trying to make a push for the spot. Davidson last year cinderella team is most likely in the tournament. They are heavily favored to win their conference tournament. A lot of times this is when a star is born on each team. There will be that one Cinderella team. Last year was Davidson but still no one can never forget that Final Four George Mason who were knocked off by the Champions Florida Gators. I don't know how people can not watch this. It is so exciting that you never at any day anyteam can get knocked out of the tournament. Every tournament there is that one team and that one player usually from the same team but may be from a different team. Last year it was Stephon Curry who was averaging around 30 points a game. My pick to win the the tournament is the North Carolina Tar Heels. Yeah there may have been times where they struggled but when the tournament starts they are going to be unstoppable. They have so much experience from previous tournaments that the players on the team are already used to the pressure when tourney time comes
Where will Terrell Owens end up?
Terrell Owens was released by the Dallas Cowboys and is searching for a new home. Who knows where he will end up. It said on ESPN that no teams are interested in him. Shocking!!! He is a great receiver. Here are some teams that I think would work out for him. The Philadelphia Eagles. Wow if Donovan McNabb and Terrell Owens reunited. The New York Giants who are in need of a WR. After losing Plaxico Burress. It may be a while until he comes back. But hey Burress on one side Eli in the middle and T.O. on the other side. The Miami Dolphins who are in need of a premier WR. Anyways here are teams who i think need him.
Indanapolis Colts:Just lost Marvin Harrison. So they need that second receiver. Wayne and Owens.
Jacksonville Jaguars: They are in need of a WR immediately. They can use a receiver to help spark that Jacksonville offense.
Buffalo Bills: Hey you never know. Lee Evans and Terrel Owens.
Here are every team that i think would get help from a receiver like Terrell Owens.
New York Jets
Miami Dolphins
Buffalo Bills
Baltimore Ravens
Cleveland Browns
Indianapolis Colts
Jacksonville Jaguars
Tennessee Titans
Houston Texans
Oakland Raiders
New York Giants
Philadelphia Eagles
Washington Redskins
San Francisco 49ers
St.Louis Rams
Chicago Bears
Minnesota Vikings
Detroit Lions
