The NBA Playoff update
The NBA playoffs have been one of the most exciting and surprising in sports entertainment today. The Cleveland Cavaliers, Los Angeles Lakers, and Dallas Mavericks are on to the second after easily defeating their opponents. Some surprises that have been in the NBA playoffs is the Philadelphia 76ers and the Chicago Bulls. Both keeping the series tight against their opponents despite losing the series right now 3-2. The Chicago Bulls have played the defending champs very well winning and losing almost every game by little and in overtime. And no one can forget how the 76ers are keeping close with the Orlando Magic and also look to tie the playoff series up 3-3 in game 6 against a magic team who is without their star center Dwight Howard due to suspension. Now to start looking around the playoffs. First is the Denver Nuggets and New Orleans Hornets. Where the Hornets lost to the Nuggets by 58 points! And tied the record for worst defeat in NBA playoffs history. The Nuggets held all star point guard Chris Paul to only4 points and 6 assists. Compared to his average of 21 points and 11 assists a game. Chris also had 6 turnovers. The Mavericks eliminated the Spurs in 5 games which made it the first time in Tim Duncans career when he has lost in the first round. The Hawks took care of buisness by defeating the Miami Heat in game 5 106-91 taking a 3-2 series lead back to Miami for game 6. Houston has also shocked many people by having a 3-2 series lead against the Portland TrailBlazers and the Rockets are without star guard Tracy McGrady. But my predictions is still I have the Lakers winning in 7 games against the Cleveland Cavaliers or the Orlando Magic.
Dwight Howard suspended but why not Rondo?

Today they announced that star center Dwight Howard has been suspended for game 6 against the Philadelphia 76ers for elbowing the 76ers center Samuel Dalembert. The incident occured in the beginning of the 1st quarter when Rashard Lewis made a 3 pointer. When Howard and Dalembert got tangled up down low and Howard swung his elbow. Also, during the game Dwight Howard accidently hit Courtney Lee in the nose with his elbow while jumping for a rebound. After the game Dwight Howard had a response to all of this. He said that it was just part of the game and that this has been a physical series and he was just trying to get untangled with the other player. And in other news they let Rajon Rondo go even though he hit center Brad Miller giving Brad Miller a bloody lip and a broken tooth. Why would they give Dwight Howard a suspension and not give it to Rondo? Howard did less harm to the guy than Rondo. A lot of people thought before that Howard was not going to get anything because he is a superstar. But it was the opposite way around. The Orlando Magic right now have 3-2 series lead and hope to close out the series in game 6 without Howard. While the Boston Celtics also have a 3-2 series lead and Rondo will be playing for them in the clinching game 6. But the Boston Celtics will still not have Kevin Garnett due to injury.

The MLB
The MLB has been surprise by a lot of teams but mainly one team, the Florida Marlins. Who have posted on of the best records in the MLB right now. ESPN predicted the Florida Marlins to have a losing record of 77-85. I'm not saying that they will have one of the best record but the way they are playing they could. It is still a long season for the Marlins. It would be quite an amazing story if they did pull of one of the best record and made it to the World Series. Which is what last years Tampa Bay Rays did. Who were predicted to be more than 20 games under .500. And they shocked the world by posting a 97-65 record in the major, winning their division and making it to the world series. In which they lost to the Philadelphia Phillies. So if they lost but what an amazing season they had and they defeated the defending champs Red Sox in the conference championship 4 games to 3. Some disappointments have been in the MLB the past 2 years like the New York Mets. Who had a lead on the division the last month of the season but couldn't hold on to that lead and didn't make it to the playoffs for 2 years in a row because of their consistant poor play in the last month of the season. Both season for the Mets it came down to the last game of the season which decided if they will play in the playoffs or not. Both seasons they versed the Florida Marlins. And if they won the last game then they are in the postseason. But they lost both time in both seasons. Also for the Yankees it was bad for them last season because it was their last season playing in the house that Ruth Built. And they had a record of 89-73 not making the playoffs for the first time of more than 15 years. But this is the start of a new season and both teams are pumped of from last season. The 2 teams plan on making the playoffs again for the new stadiums they recieved. Yankees have a new stadium which is called Yankee stadium which cost 1.5 billion dollars. The Mets have a new stadium which is called Citi Field instead of Shea Stadium.
NBA Playoffs
There has been many excitement in the NBA Playoffs so far. For example the Bulls and the Celtics have been an excellent series and makes you not want to leave the T.V screen. Both games have been close and the second game ended on a 3 pointer by Ray Allen which took the crowd off their feet. There have been some shocking games but still exciting games. Who can forget about the last second shot that Andre Iguodala hit for his team to win game 1 against the Orlando Magic. The Lakers are doing very well so far as they have a 2-0 series lead on the Utah Jazz. A lot of Portland fans got scared when they saw their hometown team lose by 27 points in game 1 on their home court. But then Portland bounced back and won game 2 by 4 points to tie the series up 1-1 against the Houston Rockets. Also, the Cleveland Cavaliers have been living up to their expectations by winning the first 2 games against Detroit in style. A lot of people have Cleveland winning it all and they are playing like a championship team. Miami in game 1 tied their for their lowest points put in franchise history in a playoffs series. They only scored 64 points while the opposing team the Atlanta Hawks scored 90 points. The Hawks played excellent defense in game 1 and look to play good defense in game 2 as they try to take a 2-0 series lead to Miami. One of the most series that people are looking at is the Texas series. Dallas against San Antonio. Which is tied up at 1-1. Dallas got the best of San Antonio in game by beating them 105-97. But San Anotonio bounced back and won game 2 to tie the series as it heads to Dallas for games 3 and 4. Denver showed what they can do as they defeated New Orleans by 29 points on Sunday in Denver. Chauncey Billups has an amazing game with 36 points while Chris Paul has a good game with 21 points and 11 assists.

The 2009 NFL Season
The 2009 NFL season has been announced and it has plenty of games to watch for this season. I'll give you week by week games that are going to be interesting to watch. The first week is opening day Thursday by having the Tennessee Titans visit the Pittsburgh Steelers which should be a defensive game.Another one is Buffalo vs. New England. How will Terrell Owens play against that new passing coverage of the Patriots. That will be your Monday Night Football game along with San Diego vs. Oakland. Another game to watch is the long time rival Chicago@Green Bay. These two always make the game look good no matter how long it takes. The week 2 game the Colts against the Dolphins in Miami for Monday Night Football. This game should be a well fought game between both clubs. And should satisfy you. The Week 3 matchup to watch for is Colts@Cardinals. The former NFC champions Cardinals take a shot at the Colts which should be a well watched game because of the Warner-Fitzgerald combo against the Manning-Wayne combo. The Week 4 game is a rematch of on of the AFC divisional playoff matchups which is the Chargers@Steelers. Will the Chargers have revenge for the team knocked them out of the playoffs last year. The Week 5 game is Colts@Titans which shows a battle between two very good divisional rivals. Titans@patriots is the week 6 matchup because it shows a very good defensive team against a powerhouse offense of the Patriots. Week 7 is the Cardinals@Giants which is a game between the NFC Champs of last season against the team with the best record in the NFC of last year. Week 8 is also a rematch of last years NFC divisional game. Which is the Carolina Panthers@Cardinals. Will the Panthers get payback against the Cardinals for knocking the Panthers out of the playoffs last year.
The NBA Playoffs
The NBA playoffs start this weekend. I wonder if there will be any upsets this year. I'm going to tell you about the NBA playoffs and my predictions for this years winner. The first series is the Cleveland Cavaliers against the Detroit Pistons. I have the Cavaliers winning the series 4-1. The next series is the defending champs Boston Celtics who is up against the Philadelphia 76ers for right now. The Celtics havd had their number during the season so i'm going to have the Celtics also winning 4-1. I have the Orlando Magic defeating the Chicago Bulls 4-2. And the Atlanta Hawks defeating the Miami Heat 4-2. Even though I think the Miami Heat will lose in the first round they have had a great season. Going from only 15 wiins last season to 42 so far this year. Congratulations Miami. One of my disappointments this year is the Detroit Pistons who I though were going to be contenders in the East for a title ever since they acquired Allen Iverson. The team has never been the same since acquiring Iverson. The team has a losing record for the first time in 7 years. In the west I have the Los Angeles Lakers defeating the Utah Jazz 4-2. This year was a little bit of a slow year for the Jazz because they were hurt with injuries at the beginning of the season. Next I have the Denver Nuggets defeating the Dallas Mavericks 4-2. The denver team is another surprise because they weren't even predicted to make the playoffs his year and they end being the number 2 seed in the West so far this season. I have Houston defeating New Orleans 4-3. Houston has been amazing this year. Posting up good numbers and another good year in the win column all without Tracy McGrady while he has been injured. Finally rounding out the West I have the Portland Blazers beating the San Antonio Spurs 4-3. This will probably be one of the most watched out of all the series due to the identical record and iudentical skills both teams have, But I think Portland will pull it out.
